A BLOG THEN...

Every wedding photographer that I've spoken to, every article I've read, every youtube video I've watched

cannot stress enough how important it is to write a blog for your photography website

so naturally I've ignored that advice pretty strongly for 9 years

BUT

I have been saying to myself for a while that in the new year, I'll start one & keep it properly updated...

So, where better to start than the my first wedding of 2024, at the fantastic...

EAVES HALL

Eaves Hall in Clitheroe (ish) is an absolutely stunning venue,
and after a week of panic about storms, snow and various February-shaped disasters,
it turned out to be a beautiful day for Lizzi's wedding (featuring Adam)

We had full use of the lodge, a beautiful cottage at the edge of the estate, for all of the bridal prep.

But we moved up to the main hall for first look with Dad

The main man himself made an appearance just as the girls were finished getting ready.

No, not Adam, Rufus. The goodest of boys.

It was a cracking ceremony.
Lizzi did the music from psycho while miming killing her husband, let out an audible "oooooh" at her own wedding ring, and Rufus did some barking to show he approved.

The Ceremony room is lush, with so much natural light, so my job was an absolute doddle!

After the ceremony, we nipped outside for the traditional "big wave"...
...and then I took the A-team out to the pavilion to pop a bottle of fizz and to argue over the pavilion's name

I said pagoda, I was wrong.
They said Pergola, which I've never even heard of....brummies
This was my first visit here, but I've photographed weddings at a few of the James' Places venues;
Holmes Mill, Falcon Manor & Mitton Hall

They've all got loads of open space & great light
And importantly, they all look mint when it comes to party time.

Evie and her stuffed wolf stole the show with some grade A dance moves.
